When it shall again become necessary to request F. Legge's services in this regard (always most willingly rendered) I shall not fail to place Mr. Wade's memorandum before him, or I shall, if conveniently occur, take an opportunity of doing so.
I must note that Mr. Deane, the remaining Cadet, is unfortunately absent at Macao having been obliged by serious illness to leave Stoushong for change of air.
